Growing an email list is something every business should do. However, many people don’t know how to build their list.
So how do you build a list?
The answer is there’s not just one way of doing it.
Also there’s no such thing as a “best way” to build your email list.
How you build your email list depends on the purpose of your email list, your marketing strategy and your overall business model.
If you’re doing a joint venture launch, the best way to build your email list is by having your affiliates email their subscribers and send them to your opt-in page. If you’re hosting a webinar, the best way to build your list is to run Facebook ads to a webinar registration page.
And if you’re building an Amazon kindle publishing business, the best way to build your email list is through kindle books by giving away an additional resource or audio book to everyone who buys your book.
If you’re looking for long-term email list growth where the subscribers trickle in every day, using organic traffic is a great way of doing it.

Influencer marketing can also be a great way to build your email list. Just paying someone to give you a shout out on YouTube or Instagram and sending all traffic to an opt-in page works like a charm. But as I said, it all depends on your overall strategy and goal.
When it comes to list building there’s no one size fits all. So before you decide how you’re going to build your list, get clear about what you want to achieve. What’s the purpose of your list building?

It also depends on your budget and other factors.
If you have no money right now, starting a blog or doing a lot of social media marketing could be a great way to build your list for free. And if you have money to invest, Facebook ads or influencer marketing is great. Just start with one method that makes sense right now and then eventually start adding more list building strategies on top of it.
