Drop Shipping Product Quantity — How Often Do You Need To Change Your Item | TBS #151

Podcast

As many of you know, I only sell one main item that produces about 95% of my drop shipping income. And most successful people who run drop shipping stores also make their money from one item.

Yes, you you can still have a few additional items on your store. And some people will add them to the cart when buying your main item.

But you don’t need hundreds or thousands of products.

Also, once you’ve found a winning item that you can sell on Facebook, usually you can leave it running for a very long time. There are millions and millions of people on Facebook, so it’s hard to run out of traffic. One winning item can reward you for a long time.

I’ve never really had to launch an additional item because I can just keep finding new customers on Facebook over and over again.

I do plan on launching additional items later on down the road.

But I’ll let my customer email list and my Facebook audience grow for some more before I do that. And then I’ll launch that new product directly to my own customers rather than just with Facebook ads.

I guess the beautiful and frustrating part of drop shipping, is that having a winning item and a winning audience really is the main variable for success. So the “difficult” part that requires some luck and persistence is actually finding the right item and audience.

Some people get lucky right away. Some of my students started making sales within 48 hours from their first or second niche.

And for others it takes a bit more persistence to test niches.

The bottom line is: Once you do have that winning item and target winning audiences on Facebook, it will be rewarding for a long time as you can build your customer database off of just that item.

And then later down the road, only if your main item starts to fatigue, you can launch new products and have a lot more leverage.
