Facebook Business Ad Account — Prevent Your Facebook Ad Account From Being Flagged | TBS #122

Podcast

There are many horror stories of Facebook shutting down ad accounts. But there are a few precautions you can take. Here’s what you should do before starting running Facebook ads:

Set up one personal ad account linked to your profile

Sign up for business.facebook.com and create two business ad accounts, apparently you’re only able to create two accounts

This way you’ll have a total of three Facebook ad accounts.

When one of them gets flagged or disabled, you still have the other two to accounts to run ads. However, make sure you always comply with Facebook’s advertising policy to prevent this from happening.

This is just a backup plan for if shit really hits the fan (I also have a backup plan for PayPal). And is something most people don’t do when they start advertising on Facebook. But wished they had done it when they get their account shut down.

You know why football players make insurance on their legs? Because it’s how they earn their money. If they lose them: bye bye money.

So if your Facebook ad manager is essential to your work, your case isn’t much different. Think of it as an insurance on your income.

Here are Facebook’s ad policies:

If you haven’t done it yet, give them a good read and pay close attention. The devil is in the details. Before running any ads, take a quick look at the ad policies to make sure everything is okay.

If your managing your own ads you should take this precaution.

If your managing your own ads plus the ads of multiple clients this is mandatory.

It’s easy to make a mistake if you don’t pay attention, and one of these mistakes can result in your account being disabled.

Always hope for the best and plan for the worst 🙂
