Drop Shipping Internationally — How To Launch A Store In A Non-English Speaking Market | TBS #243

Podcast

If you are thinking of launching an e-commerce business or drop shipping store in a non-english speaking market, there’s a few options that I want to share with you in this post.

1) You speak the language

If you are bilingual that might be a huge competitive advantage. If you speak Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, French you can easily create stores in non-english speaking markets and sell to non-saturated markets.

2) You have a friend or partner who speaks the language

If you personally don’t speak a foreign language you can always leverage your social circle and personal network.

I was able to build a store in Spain because my girlfriend speaks Spanish. If you know someone who speaks another language, why not partner up and launch a store in another country?

You guys can just split the profit 50/50. And if you don’t have a network of international friends yet, now is the time to start building it. You want to be connected with as many people as possible, so start making “friends” online by networking.

3) You can simply outsource it

If you don’t speak a foreign language and you don’t know anyone who does, you can simply outsource the translation.

Just create a store in English first, set up your Facebook ad copy, product title, description and so forth. And you can create a guest login for Shopify so your translator can customize the language files of your Shopify theme.

Translating everything should cost you less than $100.

And once your store starts making consistent sales and profit, simply hire someone to do customer support for you in the local language. And you’ll have a fully automated store.
