How To Make $60,000 A Month With Drop Shipping

I recently talked to a friend of mine who’s making $60,000 a month with drop shipping.

We got on a Skype call and he showed me everything he’s doing and broke down his entire method for me. In this blog post I’m going to walk you through his method and show you how to create these types of results for yourself.

The Importance Of Having A Winning Mindset

The first and most important thing is to come from the right mindset.

It took my friend 7-8 months of failure before he struck gold and started making $60,000 per month.

In total, he tested over 60 different products. Most people would have given up a long time ago. In fact, the average newbie doesn’t even get past testing 5-10 products. There’s too much uncertainty, fear and risk involved. And if you’re not willing to embrace this chaos and go through a long drought period with no sales, you don’t really “deserve” success.

For a long time my friend was making a few hundred dollars and loosing a few hundred dollars. Sometimes he was breaking even, sometimes losing money and sometimes making a small profit. But he never lost touch with his greater vision.

He persisted until he succeeded, no matter what.

He knew he’d do whatever it takes to become successful and that’s exactly what he did.

This mindset set him up for success right from the start: He knew he would eventually hit gold if he kept testing products. Every setback, failure and disappointment was just a stepping stone on his way to a massively profitable store.

Product Research and Testing: The 2 Most Important Elements Of Drop Shipping

There are two important things you have to do daily.

  1. Research products
  2. Test products

Every successful drop shipper I’ve ever talked to is obsessed with product research and testing. My friend researched products every day, spied on competitors and looked at other drop shippers’ Facebook ads. He took this so seriously that he installed a tool called “Turbo Ad Finder” that removed all content from his Facebook newsfeed except advertisements.

Whenever he would see an ad in his niche he would click on it to signal Facebook to show more similar ads. He watched all video ads until the end for the same reason. He wanted these stores to retarget him and he wanted to see more similar ads.

He turned this into a daily habit.

Whenever he saw a product that looked promising, he would do further research to see how many others were selling the same product. He would check the level of saturation and then decide if he went ahead and tested the product or not.

If you’re not obsessed with product research and testing you’ve already lost.

Most newbies completely neglect this part of drop shipping. But this is the foundation, this is where it all starts. If you don’t have a strong product research and testing process in place, it’s almost impossible to become successful at drop shipping.

One Of Many Effective Facebook Advertising Methods

Before I explain his Facebook ad method, I want to point out that there’s multiple proven ways to run Facebook ads. You should never fixate too much on a single method and instead remain open and flexible. There’s many ways to skin a cat. And there’s countless ways to run profitable Facebook ads and build a wildly successful six-figure or seven-figure drop shipping store.

Here is his Facebook ad method in a nutshell:

  • He always uses Conversion Ads
  • He optimises for purchases right away
  • He spends large budgets of $20-$25 per day per ad set
  • He scales up horizontally by targeting more and more countries
  • He scales up vertically by shortening the end date of his lifetime campaign
  • He uses lookalike audiences to find new “ideal” buyers

Unlike what many people advise, he doesn’t let his pixel collect a whole lot of data before optimizing for conversions. Whenever he starts a new ad campaign, he starts with conversion ads and optimizes for purchases right away.

He also spends relatively large amounts of $20-$25 per day per ad set.

He usually starts by targeting one country.

Once he has a successful ad set in one country (for example: France), he duplicates his ad set for every other country (United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Norway etc.). If a particular country is profitable, he keeps the ad set running. If it’s not, he kills the ad set. His goal is to have multiple profitable ad sets running in parallel, all targeting a different country. This method of scaling is called horizontal scaling. Instead of going deep, he’s going wide, by duplicating ad sets in different countries.

He also scales up vertically by choosing a lifetime budget of $9,000 and setting the campaign to end in 90 days. This way he spends $100 per day. And if he’s still profitable, he’ll set the end date of his campaign to 30 days. Now he’s spending $300 per day. He then does this for every winning country, which allows him to combine horizontal and vertical scaling.

The result is that he scaled up from zero to having $1,000 days and now $6,000 days.

When I last talked to him he had just made $60,000 in two weeks.

Will This Work For You?

It might or it might not.

What works for one person doesn’t always work for another person.

There are a lot of different factors that determine your drop shipping results. The most important realization is that you shouldn’t just rely on a single method, approach or strategy to grow your drop shipping business. As they say: “One is the most dangerous word in business”. If you only have one Facebook strategy, or traffic source, your business is built on quicksand.

And most importantly, if a particular method doesn’t work, you have no fallback plan.

Most people need to test multiple strategies and methods before finding what works for them and fine-tuning everything. The more Facebook ad methods you have in your “arsenal”, the higher your odds that one of them will work for you. Those who rely on just one method, or get too fixated on a particular strategy, are usually the people who fail fast and painfully.

But don’t worry, if you’re smart, you won’t be one of them.

Right now there are at least 12 different methods that work to become successful at drop shipping.

I’ve discovered these methods from being surrounded by successful drop shippers and seeing behind the scenes of countless six-figure and seven-figure drop shipping stores. Through countless hours of mastermind sessions, private Facebook exchanges and secret Snapchat conversations with other successful drop shippers I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t work in drop shipping right now. And I’ve been able to identify 12 different methods that people are using to become successful at drop shipping.

The 12 Methods To Succeed At Drop Shipping

I’ve become so fascinated by these 12 methods that I’ve decided to ditch my plans to launch “Influencer Marketing Secrets” and instead create a brand-new program called “Drop Shipping Mastery”, which will teach you the 12 methods I’ve discovered along with case studies, walkthroughs and interviews with these different drop shipping icons I’ve personally learned from.

This program is different from anything else you’ve seen before.

Most drop shipping “gurus” are blindsided and believe their method is the best and the only method that works.

I know from first-hand experience that everyone is falling victim of this fallacy. Why? Because I used to believe the same thing. I thought my method was somehow superior and that’s what I taught people in my courses and programs.

And that’s what makes “Drop Shipping Mastery” so different: Instead of getting just one method, and having to rely on that method, you’re getting 12 proven methods that work like crazy to build a six-figure and even seven-figure drop shipping business. This way, even if one method doesn’t work for you, you have eleven other fallback methods that you can use.

Can you see what this will do to your odds of succeeding?

Even if half of the methods you’ll learn don’t work for you, you’ll still have half a dozen other methods you can fall back on. At the end of the day, you only need one method to work in order to become successful. And trust me, if you put in the work, one out of these 12 methods will work for you. I believe it’s more likely that multiple or most of these methods will work for you. So instead of having to rely on just one of them, you can use them complimentarily, which can make your drop shipping results explode.

Drop Shipping Mastery is launching on the 12th of February 2018.

But if you want you can place your name on the early bird list and I’ll send you a secret registration link one day before it opens to the public, on the 11th of February. This will increase your odds of getting a spot in the program.

In the past some of my programs have sold out in as little as five hours (So if you’re interested in getting into the program it’s crucial that you’re on the early bird list since otherwise I don’t think you’ll be able to get in).

You can get on the early-bird list here.

Next week I’ll publish another blog post where I’ll take a closer look at the 12 methods. This will give you an eagles perspective, and also a competitive advantage, because most others don’t know about these methods. As I mentioned already, most people only know one or two methods to become successful at drop shipping. That being said, place your name on the early bird list to get a spot on the new program before it sells out. And come back next week to read the newest blog post.

Hi Till, When your friend targets facebook ads to European countries does he set up the ad using the language of the particular country he is targeting or are they all done in English?
    Thanks

Hello Till! Im going through all your videos on Youtube. You said exactly the opposite in one of those videos. The ads have to be corresponding to the actual language of the country. Thats confusing. Thanks in advance for clearing it up. Greetings Philip

Yeah, if everything is streamlined for one country (domain, ad, customer support etc. all in one language) it’s obviously better, but it’s also a nightmare if you want to scale up globally. So you can go more local (increase conversion rates) or go global with an english speaking store (lower conversions but more reach). People like Florian and others are getting good results with targeting worldwide with an English store while others decide to target only locally.
