There’s a lot of benefits when dropshipping from Aliexpress to the US, but also a few downsides. The same is true when drop shipping to Europe.

Let’s talk about the pros and cons for a moment.

The US is simply a great place to start because it’s one of the biggest markets in the world. If you hit gold in the US, it will be rewarding for a very long time. It’s easier to scale up in the US than in Europe.

However, the US is more saturated than Europe. More people are drop shipping the same items and running free plus shipping offers.

This also creates higher advertising costs in the US market.

The bottom line is: If you find a winning item and a winning audience in the US, it’ll be very rewarding. However, it might take you some more trial and error until you get there because there’s more competition and consumers have been bombarded already.

The beauty about drop shipping to Europe is that you will have much less competition and most people haven’t seen similar offers yet. In Europe, most people haven’t seen free plus shipping offers yet.

Also the advertising costs can be dirt-cheap, which means you can get clicks for $0.05-$0.10 consistently which is an advantage.

On the other had it’s harder to find reliable shipping options.

And although it’s easier to succeed with drop shipping in Europe because there’s more room for mistakes (due to the lower ad costs), once you hit gold it’s a bit harder to scale up your business.

So who is the winner?

None.

I guess it depends on many factors: Which market do you know better? Are you from the US or are you half Italian? Can you find a supplier that has reasonable shipping options for Europe? Do you want scalability or do you want faster success? Do you speak other languages than English? These are all important factors.
