If you want to sell digital products a great starting point is if you are a content and product producer yourself. If you are a photographer, music producer, software coder, designer it helps massively.

Here are some ideas for digital products:

– WordPress Plugins
– Shopify Apps
– Wallpapers
– Stock Video Animations

Obviously if you have a unique skill or talent and can somehow produce digital products yourself, that’s a competitive advantage.

But even if you have none of that, you can still sell digital stuff.

All you have to do is team up with product creators and content producers who are already selling their own products, and then create joint venture partnerships with them. Just reach out to them and ask if you can sell their products and give them 50% of the revenue every time you sell one of their items in your store.

A friend of mine is running a Shopify store selling music production kits and none of the products he sells are his. He just reaches out to the brands that create those products and builds relationships.

Then he sells their products and gives them 50% of the revenue.

It’s win-win for everyone involved 🙂

In my first e-commerce store I sold instrumental beats to artists. At first I was selling my own beats, since I had a passion for music production. But I soon realized that I needed to build a team and sell other people’s music to scale up the business and make more sales.

So I reached out to other music producers and built a team of six producers. They would send me their beats. And I would upload them to my store and take care of all the marketing for them.

Whenever I sold one of their beats, I’d just give them a percentage of the sale which mean additional free money in their pockets.

Collaboration and JV’s are huge for digital products.
