When To Give Up On Your Dream — Quit Your Business Idea If This Happens | TBS #075

Podcast

Here’s what happens to most people who “start” a business: They massively dabble and procrastinate for 1-2 years and then quit because of lack of results. This literally happens to most and is the worst reason to quit your business idea

The problem is, if you don’t give it 200% and hustle for 1-3 years, you might not get any results even in a great profitable market.

It’s not the passage of time that produces results, but the amount of effort you put in.

Most people have these two problems:

1) No speed of implementation: They dabble, procrastinate, find excuses, focus on the wrong things and don’t work hard enough

2) Walking away too early: When they get no results because they didn’t do shit, they rationalize that the market sucks or some other excuse and then quit and give up on their dream.

If you want to become successful, you have to do the opposite.

First, get proof that a market is profitable by looking if there’s competitors who are doing the same thing successfully. If that’s the case, it means there’s a market and you can be successful, too.

Then increase your speed of implementation, hustle harder, execute and take massive action for at least 1-3 years. Don’t give up just because you aren’t getting any quick results, if someone else is successful in the market, you can become successful, too. It just might require more work, more patience and more consistency.

If you work like a maniac in a market that’s proven and still aren’t getting any results after 1-3 years, only then consider walking away from that business. But don’t quit or give up too early. Don’t get caught up in the short term results. Keep pushing.

Hustle.

Be very patient.

Be flexible and adapt fast.
