I recently got a comment from one of my subscribers who has the opportunity to work with a client and run ads for a company.

However, he doesn’t have that much skills.

So he was wondering if he should take the opportunity?

Personally, I believe one is never really “ready” for anything in life. There’s always more you can learn, there’s always a next level you can reach and there’s always that little voice in the back of your head telling you that you’re not good or professional enough.

The truth is that you have to start somewhere.

Most people miss lots of great opportunities in their lives because they don’t recognize them or are to scared to say yes to them.

If you have an opportunity to work with a client and do marketing for a company or run advertising campaigns, I believe you should view it as a learning experience and a great way to kick-start a business.

That client will pay someone so it might as well be you.

As long as you have some marketing and advertising skills, you can surely get them some results down the road and help them out.

Being “professional” is all relative.

I have marketing service clients who come to me and tell me they worked with this big, renowned advertising agency and had a horrible experience, didn’t get any results and were unhappy.

So even if your client will get to some “big shot” agency and work with them, that doesn’t guarantee they’ll be happy or get results.

At least you will hustle and work your ass off for them.

Since it’s your first client, you will put in extra work, take it very seriously and try to do the best you can to get them results. That’s something very valuable for any company. Plus you might actually have more skills than most so called “professional” advertisers just from watching my YouTube channel or watching other videos.

Don’t underestimate your skills when it comes to marketing. A lot of it is just fear that’s holding you back from potentially great projects.

Jump into the deep end of the pool and learn to swim.

Take the payment and then figure out how to make it work.
