How To Get People To Listen To You — How To Get Your Business Noticed In A Noisy World | TBS #039

Podcast

Today’s episode is dedicated to Gergely Oláh who asked me how important it is to make an unconventional idea or niche seem cool. He wants to know how he can get attention, how he can get noticed.

Yes. You have to make it seem cool, but no in an artificial way.

I think the answer to this question lies in your passion.

Be excited and pumped for an idea. Be genuinely passionate about it. This will have a contagious effect when you share it with other people who have never heard of it.

A good example is Elliott Hulse.

He was the first guy who talked about bioenergetics on YouTube. And now millions of people are interested in this concept that otherwise would have never heard of it or been interested in it.

Elliott took an unconventional, underground and niche psychotherapy method and maid it mainstream enough to get millions of views.

And it all comes down the your own passion. Elliot loves what he talks about.

Don’t try and artificially “make” something appear cool just for the sake of it. Instead, connect yourself with the deeper reason why you personally find it interesting in the first place. And then speak from this place of passion to other people about your idea.

Take these “weird” ideas and own them 100%.

Take the example of marketing. There’s nothing really fancy or cool about marketing. It’s really math, but because I am passionate about it, and people like Ryan Deiss and Gary V, we can make it sound interesting because we project our passion.

Make sure you’re passionate enough to talk about your stuff.

Hope this helps. 😉
