How To Accept Credit Card Payments On Your Website — Stripe Payment Gateway Tutorial | TBS #083

Podcast

Today’s question is about credit card payments.

“How can you easily accept credit card payments online?”

In the past you needed to apply for a merchant account and get approved to accept credit card payments on your website. It was a long review process and it was actually difficult to get a merchant account if you weren’t in the US, UK, Canada or Australia. You needed to send a lot of documents and there was a bunch of bureaucracies involved.

With Stripe.com this has finally changed.

No more headaches.

You can now sign up for Stripe, which is an online payment gateway that allows you to accept credit card payments world-wide without needing a merchant account. This also allows businesses outside of the US to accept credit cards more easily around the world.

Stripe also allows you to sign up without a business identification. I remember having a Stripe account before actually having a registered business. And so there are ways to work around it. You can call them or send them an email. It shouldn’t be a problem.

Once you have Stripe set up, you also need some sort of checkout page or cart system like SamCart.com or ClickFunnels.com.

I can tell you that both of these solutions perfectly integrate with Stripe.

So now you have beautiful checkout pages that you can link to from your website or sales funnel, plus you have Stripe handling the payment gateway stuff in the background. Accepting credit card payments was never easier than right now.

Basically you just have to find a way to get approved in Stripe. Then find some software (like the ones I mention before) to integrate with Stripe. And then build checkout page and you’re ready to start making sales.

Try it!

That’s pretty much it. Hope it helps. 😉
