Zapier Shopify Integration — How To Use Zapier To Synch Data With Shopify | TBS #228

Podcast

If you’re looking for a way to synch data between different platforms, apps or software solutions, Zapier is the way to do it. I’ve personally used it many times to build “bridges” and make a variety of different platforms work together.

You can use Zapier to synch data between Shopify and other platforms. For example, you can set up a zap so that every new customer on ClickFunnels is added to Shopify.

It’s also possible to use Zapier to automate parts of your fulfilment process, social media updates and more.

Here’s some examples of when I use Zapier:

1) Synching Customers from ClickFunnels to Shopify

I recently did a promotion for a client and we ran a free plus shipping offer on ClickFunnels with two one-click upsells. However, my client usually sells products on Shopify, so we had to get these new ClickFunnels customers over to Shopify.

We set up a Zapier hook that automatically added new customers from ClickFunnels to Shopify without us having to transfer anything manually. It worked like a charm.

The only downside is that you can’t synch the actual orders.

2) Importing webinar registrants to WebinarJam

A few months ago I worked on a webinar promotion that resulted in over $70,000 in 7 days. A part of our webinar registrants came from native Facebook leads, which then had to be manually imported to our WebinarJam application.

With Zapier, I could easily integrate Google Sheets and WebinarJam and import the registrants. All I did is copy all the registrants into a Google Sheet and then synch the data with WebinarJam. This allowed us to import people to WebinarJam which isn’t possible without a webhook or using the API.

3) Creating email marketing automation rules

I also use Zapier to create simple unsubscribe rules and unsubscribe people who have been added to a Mailchimp list.

For example: Let’s say I have a free subscriber list and a buyers list. Whenever someone buys a product, ClickFunnels automatically adds them to my Mailchimp buyers list.

However, this doesn’t automatically remove them from the free subscribers list. So they might still receive information and marketing emails about a product they have already purchased, which doesn’t make any logical sense.

With Zapier, I set up a simple automation rule by integrating Mailchimp with Mailchimp itself 🙂 So when someone is added to my buyers list, they are automatically unsubscribed from my free subscribers list. And obviously there’s a lot of other things you can do with Zapier to make your life a lot easier.
