Shopify Drop Shipping Store — Amazon Drop Shipping Versus Drop Shipping On Shopify | TBS #176

Uncategorized

When it comes to running an e-commerce site, I think Shopify is the most robust and advanced platform you can use for selling.

It’s simply the most user-friendly of all and there’s a ton of plugins.

Don’t get me wrong here. You can build a successful e-commerce or drop shipping business with almost any platform: Magento, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay or any similar website.

However, a lot of these platforms will restrict what you can do.

For example, on Amazon you can’t use any countdown timers, you can just install a one-click upsell plugin and then sell more stuff. You can’t customize and brand the whole purchasing experience. At the end of the day, you are building Amazon.com’s customer list.

They will then upsell the customers you send them with more of their products, but you won’t get a single cent from the back-end money.

Why not build your own customer list?

Why not build your own brand?

And why not have full control over every single aspect?

The reason I love Shopify is because it gives me all the control I need. I can easily run free plus shipping offers (not possible on Amazon and eBay as far as I know). I can easily install plugins that help me with the marketing process and I can build my own brand.

Some people might be concerned that Shopify costs $29.

But to be honest, if you have a successful e-commerce business that fee will pay for itself. Shopify will be an investment that makes you money, rather than costs you money. So it’s a no-brainer.

Shopify also has an awesome iPhone app that notifies you of new sales, and it just makes your life more organized and productive.

No idea why anyone would prefer Amazon or eBay over this.

Also, there’s a free trial for Shopify so you can check it out and test it and get used to it before you even pay them anything. Heck, if you’re fast enough you can even build a profitable store in 14 days.

And once you start getting charged, you’re already making sales. Anyway, that’s my two cents on Amazon versus Shopify.

It all comes down to control and flexibility 🙂
