Selling Digital Products Online — How To Sell Digital Downloads The Easy Way | TBS #307

Podcast

If you’re planning to sell only one or two digital products then Shopify isn’t the right tool for you. What you need is a platform that allows you to build dedicated landing pages and sales pages for your products.

Shopify is more like a catalogue of e-commerce products.

However, when you sell only one or two products (for example an online course or an eBook) you don’t need a whole catalogue.

Whenever I sell digital products, I like to use ClickFunnels. It’s the most robust and flexible software to build landing pages and sales pages for your digital products. But the best part is that you can create entire one-click upsell funnels and maximize your profits.

For example, if you have an eBook and a video course, you can create a simple sales funnel in ClickFunnels that looks like this:

Ebook Sales Page
Checkout Page
Upsell Page
Thank You Page

This would include building four different pages within ClickFunnels. The actual sales page for your eBook, the checkout page where people enter their credit card information and pay for the eBook, a one-click upsell page where people are presented with a one-time offer to buy the video course, and then a order confirmation page.

Whenever someone orders a product in ClickFunnels, an email is automatically sent to the customer. You can either upload your files to a third-part service like MediaFire and include the download link in the email. Or you can upload smaller files directly in ClickFunnels and include the link in your emails so people can download the files.

So people who buy the eBook will get an email with the download link for the eBook. And if they accept the one-click upsell offer, they will get a separate email with the access details for the video course.

But if they decline the upsell, they don’t get this second email.

Selling digital downloads is really easy with ClickFunnels and you can fully customise your sales funnel and also the design of your pages.

It’s by far one of my most favourite tools, so I highly recommend it.

    Hi Till
I was looking at selling my digital product on Clickfunnels. Its quite a large document and I was going to split it over three sections to get under that 3mb limit. When someone buys my product can you supply three separate links for them to download, do you know?
    Thanks

    Hi Till.
    Great post!
For the last 4 years I have been documenting my journey from a subcontractor in construction to working solely for myself, the aim of my book is to help people to work for themselves locally with a 15minute radius from their home. Is this something I could launch & could you help me with this?

    Kind regards
    Kris
