Life Goal Setting — My Goals Until I’m 30 Years Old And Beyond | TBS #141

Podcast

Whenever I’m setting goals for myself, I like to do it for a 3 year period. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a greater vision for my life, but my goals are usually specific and more short-term than my vision.

Here are some of my goals:

Financial: Have a million dollars saved on my bank account by 30.

Personal: Detoxify and get rid of any bad habits and addictions by 30.

I’m 27 right now, so these are my two main financial and personal goals for the next three years. After that I’m going to set new goals, probably for the next 3-10 years. I’m planning to get into multi-family real estate investing once I have the capital for large investments.

In general, I want to build wealth in my life: Personally, financially, for my relationship and family and also in terms of health and character.

I’m in for the long-run, I love the game and I want mastery.

It’s not that I’m driven by money only, I don’t think having an abundance of wealth will inherently make me more happy.

But I just love the whole process of doing it 🙂

Honestly, it’s so much fun!

I love making progress, challenging myself and pushing myself to new heights every year. That’s what makes me happy and fulfilled, among other things, and I’m going to continue this all my life.

I love the process!

Every day before going to bed I sit down and re-write my goals to refocus myself and get aligned with my life’s purpose.

It’s simple: Just take a Word Document, write the date of the current day, and then write down your goals. If you do this every day, you will get super focussed and never lose track of where you’re heading.

I highly recommend you start doing this, too.
