How To Deal With Internet Addiction — Social Media Distractions & How To Become Proactive | TBS #030

Podcast

Are you checking your emails very often, refreshing your stats and clicking on the Facebook home button a gazillion times a day?

Then you’re spending too much time being reactive. Your environment is controlling you, instead of you controlling your environment.

When you’re refreshing your stats, emails or social media channels compulsively every day, you’re probably waiting for a cue from the world to give you permission to do something and take action.

Probably these sound familiar to you:

“…if only I got this fan email, I would feel motivated to work…”

“…if only my stats went up, it would be worth to continue…”

“…if only I got a new order, I would be so happy…”

“…if only I found a great business idea on YouTube to work on…”

These are all typical scenarios that occur when you’re in a reactive state of mind and waiting for the world to tell you what to do.

The world and your results are dictating your actions, which means you’re at the effect and not at the cause of your business. As long as you’re in this reactive state, your business will NOT thrive.

You can’t run a successful business being reactive.

JUST WON’T HAPPEN!

Stop looking for reasons to take action in the outside world. Give yourself full permission to act now despite of anything. Stop scrolling through Facebook and looking at your stats and watching and YouTube.

You have to be at the cause of the world and get everyone else to react to you if you want to become successful at business.

Play the game! Don’t watch the game.

Now go out there. Take action for no reason! Work hard!
