Your email list is still one of your most important assets in your online business, so let’s talk about some practical ways to do that.

There’s a ton of advanced strategies to build your email list that I like to call “native lead generation”, using micro-hoop psychology and stealth persuasion methods to increase your opt-in rate.

But let’s focus on three basic methods for today:

1. Webinars

Host a webinar once or twice a month and link your webinar software to your email program, so every registrant is automatically added to your email list in the back-end. Also a great way to start making sales and build your brand. You can do webinars with webinarjam.com.

2. Traditional content marketing

Start publishing articles on a weekly basis on a personal blog or on an authority site, and add a relevant lead magnet and opt-in form at the end of every article. This still works really well right now.

3. YouTube videos

In my first business I built an email list of over 10,000 subscribers organically from YouTube videos. The trick is to use annotations to create call to actions and direct people to your squeeze page.

You can link the annotation to your squeeze page or you can tell people to click on the link at the top of the description of the video.

Then just add your squeeze page link in the description.

These are three of your best bets when it comes to building your email list.

Stay consistent and focus in offering a ton of value and people will want to stay with you in the long run. Those will be your greatest customers because they already know you. So when you launch a new product they will be the easier to sell too.
