Greatness Knows No Age — Why Age Doesn’t Matter in Business | TBS #024

Podcast

If you think you’re too young to make it big in business and life, then that’s your issue and you have to get over it. Look at people like Aaron Schwartz who revolutionized the internet at a young age.

Did you know it was a kid that invented RSS feeds, created Reddit and created the framework for the creative commons licenses?

If you produce massive value, age is never an issue.

If you’re scared that people will judge you because you’re too young and don’t have a lot of life experience, or that they’ll think you’re just a kid that they shouldn’t listen to, then prove them wrong.

Your success is not determined by your age, but by your ability to take action and execute despite of what people think of you.

What matters is what you offer. If you offer great content and a ton of value, that’s what people will be down for.

And that’s true for anyone, no matter what age.

Once you turn 25 you’ll think you’re too young. Then when you’re 35 you’ll think you’re too young. And then when you’re 55 you’ll think you’re too old.

All of these stories you tell yourself about your age are all just limiting beliefs. No matter if you’re an old granny or a young kid, pursue your dream. Nobody is holding you back from pursuing it but you.

Your perception of reality is what is limiting you, because there are lots of great entrepreneurs under the age of 20.

And you can be one of them.

You think you need to be a certain age, but you don’t. You need to update your mental model of the world. Look at young entrepreneurs and understand that it’s possible to achieve greatness at any age.

You just need to put in the work and hustle hard.
