Facebook Business Page — How Many Facebook Pages Do You Need? | TBS #255

Podcast

Someone recently asked me if he needs a different Facebook page for every single product he sells on his store. That would be a very impractical strategy, so it’s definitively not the way to go.

I generally recommend having one Facebook page per business.

However, there are some exceptions where it makes sense to have multiple Facebook pages for the same online business and store.

For example, let’s say you have a general store.

On that general store you sell a variety of different products and niches. From a marketing standpoint it can make sense to create different Facebook pages for every niche on your store. You can think of every niche on your store as a separate category.

If you’re selling fishing items and men’s jewelry on the same store, this is a conflict of interest. People who are interested in your fishing gadgets don’t also want jewelry or outdoor camping equipment.

You want to be able to specifically market to everyone who’s interested in fishing, and men’s jewelry on a separate page.

Think of your Facebook pages like buckets.

Each bucket contains people who have the same shared interest.

This allows you to create content for the right people, communicate with them and send them relevant updates and products. It also makes it easier to re-market and make backend money in your business because you can reach the right people through the right marketing channel at the right time, which is super important.
