How To Find Drop Shipping Products — Drop Shipping Niche Selection Tips and Tricks | TBS #077

Podcast

In terms of niche selection, you want to look for irrationally passionate niches that have a strong and already established fan culture.

You want people who would do anything to buy your item. People that NEED the product, not want. You need that type of customers. Those are the ones who will keep coming back to your store.

Not everyone needs new cool looking sunglasses. Everyone already has a pair, so there’s no impulse to act and buy new ones. However, if you sell great looking pilot goggles and can target pilots on Facebook, you have people who might do anything for them.

I have no idea if this is a proven market, I’m just using it as an example to make my point. You can look into dog owners, golf players, etc… You get the general idea. Just do some market research before to check if it’s a good market to enter.

Go on Aliexpress.com and spend 1-2 hours browsing categories and think about what niche you could sell the items to. Try to find niches that are irrationally passionate, narrow and large in numbers.

And then clone the product on your Shopify store and test it.

Target 3-5 interest on Facebook and see what your CPC is and if you can generate any sales. Run your ads for $1-5 per day and keep running them for a couple of days to see what results you get.

Then tweak, test new interests and optimize your Facebook ads.

If you can’t make it work, test a new item and niche and repeat the process. Do this until you find a winning product and niche and then scale up and build your drop shipping store around this item.

Give it a try. You will see that niche customers are the best type of customers.
