Drop Shipping On Aliexpress — How To Keep Track Of The Stock In Your Store | TBS #241

Podcast

If you’re running a drop shipping business you might be wondering how to keep track of the stock in your store and on Aliexpress.

There’s two simple ways you can go about this.

1) Use Oberlo

You can use the drop shipping app “Oberlo” to keep track of the stock on Aliexpress. The app will automatically synch the stock on Aliexpress with the stock on your own Shopify store.

So if an item runs out of stock on Aliexpress, it will also be out of stock on your store. Everything is updated automatically.

This is especially practical if you’re running a high volume store.

And it’s also really helpful if you’re selling many different items on your store. If most of your sales come from just one or two items, you might want to use the next method that I’m about to share.

2) Disable stock completely

If you’re only getting between 5-20 orders a day, you can also disable stock completely on all your items. Should one of the items you sell run out of stock on Aliexpress, you’ll find out soon enough.

Let’s say someone buys the item on your Shopify store.

You then head over to AliExpress to fulfill the order and see that it’s not available anymore. So you can either refund the payment and then mark the item as “sold out” on your Shopify store. Or you can simply fulfill the item using an alternative supplier on Aliexpress.

Usually there’s multiple suppliers selling the same item, so you can simply use a different supplier to send the item to your customer.

If you think about it, it’s really not a big deal.

You shouldn’t be worried of “running out of stuck” on your store or on Aliexpress because even if it happens it’s an easy problem to solve.
