Drop Shipping From Aliexpress — What If The Customer Says The Item Didn’t Arrive | TBS #245

Podcast

If you’re drop shipping from AliExpress and a customer reports to you that the item didn’t arrive, there’s no way to check if it’s true. At the end of the day, only the customer knows if the item really arrived.

Since you are not the recipient of the item, you can’t know.

Also within AliExpress there’s nothing that indicates that the item has arrived. In fact, AliExpress asks you to mark the item as “received”, so the order can be finalized. This is one of the downsides of drop shipping since you have little control over the fulfillment process.

In some cases customers will reach out to you and tell you they didn’t receive the item they ordered. You as the drop shipper have no way to check if the item arrived and the customer is just lying to you.

However, in my experience most people won’t try to rip you off or lie to you in order to receive a refund or a replacement item from you.

If a customer reports the item didn’t arrive, it probably didn’t.

I think the best advice I can give is to stop obsessive with the small things and start looking at the bigger picture. If you get lost in these trivial aspects of your drop shipping business, it’ll hold you back.

Stop being paranoid and scared about every little detail, or about being taken advantage of. You simply have to get over this worry.

Whenever a customer sends you an email or contacts you and tells you the item didn’t arrive within the advertised shipping time, just make up for it with great customer support and send a replacement item to them at no additional cost. You have to be able to take small losses like that, and as I said, it doesn’t matter in the big picture.

Refunds, charge-backs and delivery problems are completely normal aspects of any business and should throw you off or worry you.

Focus on making money, not on not loosing money.
