Aliexpress Order Fulfillment — How To Drop Ship A Large Quantity Of Items | TBS #266

Podcast

One of my students recently go 150 orders on his drop shipping store in one weekend. He then reached out to me and asked how he to fulfil the order, since he was a bit overwhelmed by his success.

First of all, congrats for the 150 orders 🙂

Fulfilling the item is a quality problem, which is a great thing to have.

Basically there are three options:

1) Submit a CSV file directly to your supplier

In some cases, people had success by submitting CSV files with all the orders and shipping information to the Chinese supplier. In that case, you can bypass the AliExpress order process completely.

However, this requires that your supplier is cooperative.

The supplier needs to be open for a custom partnership, he needs to be reliable and obviously have good English speaking skills. Since not all suppliers are open for this, it won’t work in every case.

2) Fulfil the orders by yourself

Another option is to fulfil the orders by yourself. It’s a lot of boring, menial work since you have to fulfil every item one by one.

This is better for small orders and low-volume stores.

But if you’re getting a lot of orders, it’s better to have someone else fulfil the orders for you. That way you can use your time to focus on high-leverage tasks like marketing, advertising and branding.

3) Hire a virtual assistant to fulfill all orders

A great option to automate the order fulfilment is to hire a virtual assistant on Upwork.com. I recommend getting someone from the Philippines and paying around $3 per hour. That’s not bad for the Philippines and they are positive, great and reliable assistants.

Record a video walkthrough of the fulfillment process for them and send it to them on Dropbox or something. This will instruct them and show them what they have to do in a step-by-step manner.

Then create a staff account on Shopify and send them an invitation, that way your virtual assistant can login and see all the orders.

And then he or she fulfils them on AliExpress one by one.

Jonas, We were using Oberlo before they updated their auto ordering. We switched to Shopified App mainly because it supported more suppliers than just Aliexpress which is important to us. I would say overall Oberlo does Aliexpress better but again we needed those other suppliers. This has worked really well for us. For ordering we have a couple Philippine workers who use Dropship N Paste which helps automate the process of ordering by automatically filling in the buyers address at checkout and also works with more than just Aliexpress.

This system has worked really well for us.
